What kind of lure would I use for bass fishing in a River?

Marabou jigs & Mister Twisters,i used them for 15 years on the niagara river in buffalo new york,and have caught 100`s of bass,trout,salmon,perch,rock bass,crappies, shephead and suckers,just don`t let sink to bottom,count 5 or 10 seconds when hits water then reel in.good luck!

Get a tasmanian devil lure. But make sure you get the river package not the lake package. The just reel it in you cant mess it up. Good Luck

try some topwater lures - poppers, zara spooks/puppies, etc... or, try some shallow diving suspended jerkbaits such as yozuri's pin's minnows, t.d. minnows, etc...

I only fish one river and that is the Red River in Louisiana and the best bait you can use most of the time is a Baby Brush Hog fishing the rocks in the main river- in the oxbows any lure that you use in lake fishing will work. Of course, every river system is different- Good luck and good fishing.

I would use pink buzz bombs. mine have got caught but that was in the ocean. so yeah.

ok heres a tip that will not only get you on fish but it wont get snagged on the bottom EVER...try getting a couple topwater lures like chuggers and poppers...since they float they dont ever snag on the bottom and when a bass strikes..Ohhh man ...theres nothing like it..its the best try it..im not sure what river you fish but if it has bass in it...your'e in business..if you're up north like i am (Ohio)...you might want to wait a few weeks until the rivers get a little warmer..(about 68 degrees)..but you may never go back to the old worm and sinker routine...
