    If you're using a reel in which you push a button to cast (you probably are) then search on Google or YouTube "How to spool a spincast reel". If you're using a reel in which you open a bail to cast, search on Google or YouTube "How to spool a spinning reel". Bass are not idiot fish. You can't catch them on food lying around the house. You can, however, catch lots of bluegill on hot dogs, bread, or corn. They're pretty fun to catch and easy too. EDIT : But I did catch a shitload of small spotted bass with corn one time. They were probably half-starved to death though.

BC is correct. Bass will very, very, rarely eat any household food. Bread dough balls and pieces of hotdogs work best for Bluegill, Catfish and small Panfish. Here are some good baits for Bass: A. Live 4-6" Shiner B. Live Crawdad C. Live 3-4" Bluegill (where legal) D. Live Nightcrawler Most Baitshops offer Live Shiners and Nightcrawlers. Depending on where you are located Crawdad can be found at certain Tackle shops. Bluegill will need to be caught. Your "best bet" for Bass would be Shiners. They are easily found and work WELL. BC- Thumbs up.

When you say reel the line to the pole i dont understand? However bass are typically greedy and although bread may not be the best bait im sure they'll eat it if offered :) Tight Lines Billy
