Any style worm about 8" long in cherry red, watermelon seed green, (or white if the water is dark). Use the Texas rig and have some fun. When the water surface temp. cools down to 65-70 degrees F, use a bass, white, or crawfish colored Bandit with a 1" spoon and fish it in the "walk the dog" pattern on top of the water. Catch a big one for me.

I would use: first, a frog pattern at dawn and dusk second, lizards casting twenty feet ahead (right at the shore line) as I walked around the pond always casting ahead of where I was heading and best from 11:am to 3:pm third, I would use a nightcrawler mid day and fly line it no weight just let it sit on the surface ringing the dinner bell within 3 feet of shore lastly I would try a grasshopper or dragonfly patern on the windward side of the pond I would never walk down to the water I would cast from 20 feet away so as to not spook the fish watching the horizon for any kind of a meal falling in.
