I have 3 baitcasters for different uses. 1. BPS Extreme I use 30lbs braid for flipping 2 Abu Garcia Ambsdr I use 10lbs mono for crankbaits 3. Diawa Megaforce I use 12lbs Floro for various use.

14lb test and i fish carp, catfish, bass, and anything else i can find. i use trilene 14lb and it has'ent let me down yet!

8 and 10lb mono on my lighter curados and such. mostly 8. but then go up to 12 and 14 on my ambassadeurs. and 25lb mono on the one l use for swimbaits, which is a penn int'l 965.

I use 10-14 lb. test on my baitcasting reels for bass. Don't use 'em regularly for carp, catfish or bluegill. I mostly use monofilament, Stren Extra Strength is cheap, and it's very good line. Hope i helped ya out.
