What do rainbow trout eat?

lake clear Wobbler are by far the best trout bait i go up to the adirondacks in the fulton chain of lakes and every cast you get one basically its like a spoon and it just wobbles and you can tip it with a peice of worm or somthing but this is by far the best trout bait.

They eat almost anything. The like something moving worms I would say are the best bet. Caught many on the. Also spinning is good, I got one on a dead bait sprat.

Depends on time of day you are fishing. If you get up and start early..use wooly worm/spinner. Noon change to flatfish with treble hooks. Good luck and Happy fishing! oh,..fly fishing for trout is also great so any colorful flies would work!

Last time I fished them I had good luck using a silver spoon with a single salmon egg threaded on the hook. If they're not biting the egg, try a piece of worm.

If this be your first I'd go with Power Bait by Berkley (rainbow color). Very simple take a pinch outta' the small jar (bout' the size of a nickel) put in the palms of your hands and making circular motions with hands form it inta' a ball, push the bend of the hook into it completely coverin', up to the eye.
