Depends on the type of fish. Certain fish have certain baits or lures they will be attracted to. It would be helpful to know what kind of fish are in the lake.

A stick of dynamite will do the trick. Just make sure you toss it into the lake before it goes KABOOM. Otherwise, you may have to pick up you hand in pieces. It would also be tough to type your questions in answers.yahoo.

Generally speaking, I find that dynamite works really well (and not just for fishing...) :P

Ask around to see if any of the local know whats in the lake , otherwise either worms or minnows will be the best bait for a veriety of species. Try both bottom fishing and fishing with a bobber and try to be patient. If you can try to fish around cover such as docks, weededges, logs,or lilly pads these attract fish. Good Luck

I've mostly fished in the south, so maybe this wont help much. I have had the most luck in small waters around the corners of the dam and the wind blown side of the lake. As a general rule of thumb fish hold to the wind blown side of most waters. You can hardly go wrong with night crawlers and crickets about 1.5-2 feet below a bobber. This set up with a # 6 - #4 hook is good for trout, panfish, bass, and catfish. Hope I've helped. Good fishing and good luck!

Depends on the fish. I would try using live bait like worms or crickets. If that didn't work I would opt for a lure called a Roostertail. I catch just about everything on them. I would go with the smallest size I could find and just retrieve it real slow. At night/dusk an popper on the water might be a good idea. If nothing else works, get some liver or shrimp and put on a large hook and cast out into the water and let it sit. Great way to catch catfish.

take a piece of bread and moisten it up. when i was a kid i used my spit. seemed to work fine. it's easier to stick onto the hook that way... roll the bread up into a small ball and stick the hook in there. if you live in the south you be on the lookout for gators.
