What is the largest Bass you have caught? And how?

funny you should ask that today of all days... today is the anniversary of my 13 1/4 pounder. caught it on a 4" worm l poured myself, on 8lb maxima. it jumped and broke off on my very first cast in the AM. l failed to retie my hook from the previous outing. l waited about 20 minutes and casted again. she nailed it and after a very exhilarating fight l landed it. funny thing was, a guy had JUST told me l was rigged wrong and wouldn't catch anything. l like to rig texas style but with a 1 1/2 foot distance between the weight and hook. the reason l know it was the same fish was because the taxidermist saved the worm and hook that was still in the fish. mine.

Man after reading the answers my 3 1/2 lb is nothing. was for me at a small lake using an old jitter bug.

The biggest bass I've gotten is a 16lb - 14oz I caught while walking-the-dog with a Heddon Super Magnum Spook at the Lake Castaic, CA dam. You should have seen the looks on the GUYS that saw me land it...

i caught a 6 1/2 pound Largemouth in a pond in Central IL. I was using a lizard not sure what brand or anything.

I caught a 6lb largemouth last fall on a shad rap while walleye fishing.

I caught a 12lb 1oz Largemouth on Fort Gordon, GA in May 03...she was caught on a Black and Silver Flake Senko with a 1/4th oz bullet weight...I have pictures of her on my computer at home and she is on my den wall...yes I kept her...had a long talk with my Father and he told me "...boy that is probably the biggest bass you will ever catch, she has spawned at least 10 times and it was caught in a lake on Ft Gordon..." I have caught a 4lbs 8oz Smallmouth and a 3lbs 9oz Spotted Bass too..but they are still swimming...I will not keep another unless it is bigger than her...
