How do you change your old email address to a new one?

How do I change my other email address to my new one...the old one was [email protected]?

  Once an email id is created you cannot change it, instead create another ID and mail all your contacts your new ID, tell them in the same message that you are going to discontinue using your old Id say in a month. You will be needing your address book from your old mail id. For that open you old id and save the address book to your PC and later import that address book into your new account. In yahoo you can announce your new id via Options->announce new ID. Hope this will solve your problem.
