Does anyone know how much it would cost aprox to build a double rabbit hutch?

Don't know, but I can make a rabbit hutch with only one nail.....

this all depends on the size and type of rabbit ur keeping. if its a floppy eared yoorkshire rey which ays 4 pounds or a giant english derbyshire pink which ways 15 stone. fr the first rabbit i wud suggest taping t shie boxes tgether , u can tae the lmid ff t let the rabbit out in the morning and put it ba n at night to help it sleep. the second rabbit is a different matter, u will need to convert ur garage into a hutch due to the weight of this rabbit i wud reccmend purchasing a human bed to sleep in. i hope i have been of sum use . i hope to here from you soon

I built a quadruple hutch with less than 100$ in material. best to put it in or under some existing shelter. you can build it with all 2x4 (untreated) lumber frame with rabitt wire covering. i built mine inside our barn.

Your looking at about $150 depending on where you get your stuff and how good of a builder you are . It does look like it is worth the money it is a well built hutch .

That's a nice one, but doesn't allow much room for a Rabbit, unless you want to raise Dwarfs. It looks to be plywood??? and a lot of 1x2 lumber. Not knowing where you are, yet assuming the UK, I can't equate prices there to prices here, but can suggest that any place that sells lumber should be able to quote a price if you bring them a materials list. To create a materials list even using that picture, and your measurements, consider counting the various 1x2's as used for framing and support of that hutch. Then equate your measurements to how material is sold where you are. If in the UK, probably not by linear feet. though you state 5 x 6 ft size that you want? No less than 2 4x8 sheets of treated/exterior Ply, and for the 2x2's I'd probably try to locate Cedar, or other insect/rot resistant woods, such as Redwood. I've been in the trades a long time and re-claimed is hardly an option in 2007. Certainly worth a try however,,, OR seek out housing construction inquiring about waste/cast offs. A construction site that eventually discards Ply and other material used for barricades, concrete slab forming, etc. Also without knowing any issues you might have regarding aesthetics... The Rabbits will never know. I've built a few in my time, primarily to be a great way to make compost under a cage. In that context I suggest NEW wire, and for the floor, at least on the bottom, no larger than 1/2 inch mesh. That relates to waste being allowed to drop out. How you'll plan that for the upper levels, I have no clue, but still feel that if this is for PETS, as opposed to becoming a Rabbit breeder seller, Those cage sizes are too small. Steven Wolf

Maybe $200 to $250-I am only giving a guess.
