Why is the word 'celtic' pronounced 'keltic' yet the Scottish football team Celtic is pronounced 'seltic'?

the word celtic pronounced keltic is not just a scottish thing you will find the same in wales ireland and france it goes back to the old alliance i think as for the glasgow celtic the name seltic is really selic witch comes mainly from the west coast of scotland and possibly from ireland .

Simple,brother wilfred whom founded celtic had considered calling them "glasgow hibs" but didn't want people to get confused with the edinburgh hibs or dundee hibs,so he settled on "celtic"as he was irish and the team played in scotland,both celtic countrys,But to avoid any other confusing he decided on the word "s"celtic,instead of the "k"celtic..
