How old should a little girl be in order to get her ears pierced? ?

when it is their choice, that is YOUR call. I got mine for my 7th bday, and i got my second holes at around 12. Its a parents choice on all of this. Some families get them done as infants, so your judgement call is all thats needed!

well, my mother had mine pierced at two weeks. that way i wouldnt play with them,and she could take of them. kinda of strange i know, but im 17 and still have both ears pierced from that age. so it must work.

At one time, in some cultures little girls would have their ears pierced before they could walk. The healing was quick and the ears were bathed daily in salt water to prevent infection for about a week. Gold was always used for ear rings and in some families little gold rings, called 'sleepers' were handed down. I think that any body piercing is invasive and that the individual should decide if THEY want to have it done. Parental guidance for a young child being in line with the wearing of any jewelery and such things as dress codes and hair styles. It has to be remembered too that ear rings caught in clothing and gym equipment. This can result in the ring being torn from the ear leaving an unsightly scar. Some schools actively promote a no jewelery code.

ok u should do it really little so she grows up knowing not to mess around with them and stuff like that. i begged my mom for a second hole and i got it when i was nine thats my advice.if u do it when she is little she will grow up with them and feel comfortable with her earrings and she will learn to care for her earrings and stuff.

I thinks its left up to the parents. My ears were pierced as a baby, and I got my second holes when I was 13. I think second holes should wait at least until middle school. Other wise they look a little funny to me.

Old enough to ask. For a young girl I would limit the second piercing to a discrete stud only.

I waited until my daughter was responsible enough to keep them clean.

Just one is okay at any age, but more than that at-least 13

when she beggs if she can have a boyfriend, then you can ask her if she wants to get her ears pierced instead
