There is no direct route between intramurals and intercollegiate sports. One can try out for the intercollegiate team as a walk on (ie: someone who is not on an athletic scholarship). Its possible that someone who makes the team as a walk on may be offered an athletic scholarship in later years. I would recommend that you sign up for a youth league now, and play in both the Fall and Spring seasons. You should act fast, as many clubs are holding registrations now.
