Well first, you can't just become a pro soccer player. You have to work. Play in middle school, play in high school, play in college. It takes hard work and determination. Have fun and play every game like it's your last.

Im not sure of your age, but by your teens most professional soccer players are playing at high levels. My friend is training to be on the Matildas (aussie womens soccer team) and has been playing at state level, been in competitions etc. Just to begin with, most people are already recognised in junior divisions and have been playing in not just a local team, but beyond that, representing areas or states. You also need constant physical fitness, live a healthy life etc. i would advise picking up some form of cardio or muslce building exercise, most likely going to a gym at least a couple of times a week. Protein is very important in your diet and eating healthy. Of course, you don't have to be super strict since you are young, but most professional athletes eat mainly pasta around game time and other protein/healthy food. I would suggest seing a dietitian to make sure you can have a healthy routine of exercise and eating. Practicing of course is important as you would know. I would work up all of your skills. I use to not be good at using my left foot, i worked really hard and now i am much better on my left than my right. this is good, for example, if i wanted to take a shot with my left foot. I also was not good at dribbling, and worked on that too. If you know your position, practice all aspects and over time your weaknesses will strengthen. as mentioned before, try going for more than just a local team. school teams are good as some can go to school state level. Try playing REP soccer outside of school and join other competitions and teams. I believe its called the kangaroo cup which is the young womens soccer tournament. My friends team has won that a few times. Also, be sure not to take school too lightly. I would suggest taking PE courses to help you. Not only does it help you learn about how the body works and what it needs and gives you an insight to sport, but many professional soccer players or players who did not make it professionally often turn to sport-related and based jobs afterwards such as physio and you can still work with the professional league. If you really work at it, obviously maths and science arent necassary, but im saying don't cut out all those in case your dream doesn't work out. At my school they have a sports medicine, women in sports and other sports classes which all mainly theory. You can also check out courses at local TAFES and see what universities have sports related courses. overall, try really hard. Usually you start of in junior teams that are still at the top of their level. Places like the AIS take young players at the best of their ability. But you really must play at high levels before being a professional. My friend just ran in the Youth Olympics for the third time and is trying to be in the olympics, same as my other friend who just swam in national swimming youths. EDIT: yes, in movies people get scouted, although its much more likely they will choose from winning/state/high ranked teams, not just college teams. My brothers played in their uni team and were in the finals several times and not once was anyone "scouted". However, keep playing in teams and enjoy the sport!

just get yourself into one of the best colleges in soccer and from their it will be easy for you to become one
