I suggest: - 3 full days in Rome One day for the center (i.e. navona square, trevi fountain, spagna square, popolo square, villa borghese with the museum. you can book it through internet http://www.galleriaborghese.it/borghese/en/edefault.htm); One day for S.Pietro, Vatican Museums (you can book tickts to see the sistine chapel on line http://www.rome-museum.com/) and for a dinner in trastevere, a typical zone in rome) The last day for Colosseum (it's possible to enter in it), piazza venezia (you can see the panoramic view from the altare della patria), the capitolium, circus maximus. If you have time you can go to the aventino hill. Half a day in Tivoli, near Rome (there are two important roman villas, villa d'este and villa Adriana). They close quite early in the evening - 1-2 days in florence; -one day in siena (I think is the most important medieval city in Italy). -If you have time you can also go to Sicily: visit the "valle dei templi" in Agrigento. It's beautiful!!!!! It's not so easy to get to the frasassi caves.... From rome it takes about 4 hours by train. The best thing to do is sleeping in Perugia while driving from florens (or Siena) to Rome. Then visit the caves, come back to perugia and the day after move to Rome... Why are you so interested in that caves?

hit everywhere and everything. go to the off the wlal places too. in rome we went up the gianciolla hill to a st peters - NOT the one everyone goes to but the one up the hill - it was amazing. the most important thing i will recommend - a flashlight!!! a lot of the places are rather run down and the lighting isn't great. some also make you pay for the lighting!
