There are also last minutes offers but this would be too risky as you might not find any last minute at the right moment. There are many reasons for this. First of all the cost for a short term rental is more or less the same then a hotel but in an apartment you have much more privacy and the feeling of being part of the city, being at home, more then being just a tourist there. Apartments are always different one from the other and hotel rooms are more or less the same everywhere you go. Last but not least, when you go to a hotel you are obliged to eat out at every meal spending a lot of money just for that. When you have your own apartment, even if a studio, you have your or own kitchen or kitchenette with your fridge. You can do your shopping for food at a supermarket and save a lot of moneyhaving better quality food this way. The climate is very mild the entire year but in winter you might get a lot of rain. Regarding the prices for flights and apartments, a lot depends on when you go.
