What people like to eat in Italy?

Depends what region you are in, for example the northern regions have a different cuisine than the south. Northern Italians eat more meat, more vegetables as compared to the southern italians eat alot of fish, alot of eggplant and such. Each region has its own locally grown and sold food, in sicily the fish is excellent because they are on an island, they also grow alot of eggplant in sicily... so naturally many of the dishes served/eaten are catered around these locally grown and caught foods. So it really all depends on the region of Italy you are in to best describe what they mostly eat.

vegetables, pasta, bread, pizza, cheese, salad, wine. when i went there, i ate a lot of gelato and found some really good fruit, even fresh coconut, from street vendors.

I'm italian!!! Italian people like eat everythink... but the best italian food in my opinion are: spaghetti alla carbonara pizza margherita tiramisù polenta concia Usually we don't it only spaghetti but also other food like meat and fish!!! If you like eat italy is the best place in the world to come to eat and visit monuments!!!

We had an exchange student from Italy and he said that he does eat pizzas and spaghetti because they have some kind of stove that helps him cook it better
