    I stayed at the Yes Hotel in Rome with my finacee for 3 nights. It's very comfortable, semi-luxurious and just a few minutes from the train station.

The Albergo Cesàri is a great little hotel in central Rome. I've stayed there. It has an amazing roof terrace, and is very well placed for the sights too. I wrote about my Cesàri experience here: http://www.blogfromitaly.com/in-rome-doing-stuff/ After I wrote about the place, a couple I know who read my post stayed at the Cesàri too, and they were were happy. Parking is a problem, but if you don't have a car, you can save on Rome taxi fares (and rip offs) by using Rome's subway/underground railway system. Dirt cheap, and dirty - plus it can get very crowded at peak times. Or, you could try this as an alternative to Rome's taxis: http://www.wheninrometours.com/Car-and-Bus-Service/Airport-and-Cruise-Port-Transfers.html Hunt around on the internet for good deals. When do you want to come to Italy and what's your budget? Hotel prices here vary a lot depending on exactly when you want to stay. Some hotels I like in Rome are the Accademia right around the corner from Trevi Fountain: http://www.venere.com/hotels/rome/hotel-accademia/ ; the Cesàri which is near the Pantheon: http://www.venere.com/hotels/rome/hotel-cesari/; and the Hotel Romano which is across from the Forum: http://www.venere.com/hotels/rome/hotel-romano/ . The last one is a two star, but often provides an excellent value. The Venere site also has over 1400 more hotels in Rome that you can search by area, budget and rating.
