There's never been a tsunami in Tuscany.... It's pretty impossible, 'cause Tuscany is not by the ocean and the Mediterrean sea is very calm and protected by many lands. By the way, it's happened in Japan.

Tipy

I live in TUSKANY and I've never saw any tsunami here, not now and not in the past, fortunately, because in the Mediterranean sea there isn't possibility of tsunami...

Just Me

not very likely. i don't think there are any fault lines in the Med. to cause a tsunami. lived in Tirrenia many years ago. went to LAHS at Camp Darby..

In Italy we call them maremoti and yes Italy can have them (already happened close to Sicily in the past) they are not common and big as those close to Japan but they can happen, also Italy is a sismic country.

Tuscanycious

It was in Japan, no in Italy

No Disponible

The tsunami happened in Japan, not Italy, and Italy is by the Mediterranean Sea, which is a very calm ocean, so even the possibility is very, very slim. You have nothing to worry about. It didn't happen, and it's not going to happen. :)
