When does Argentina celebrate its independence?

Is it true that RSS refused to celebrate the Indian independence day for a considerable time as they believed it was a fractured independence? When did they revoke their stand?

  • It ought to be known that the folks whose patriotism is supposed to be beyond doubt have, for their own "righteous" reasons, refused to even recognize the independence day of the country. In a mature democracy this should not be considered a crime - just as refusing to honor a national song for religious beliefs too should not be considered treachery.

Yes, it was mainly RSS swayam sevaks who felt hurt at the partition of India and killings due to partition. Then second chief of RSS Sri Guru ji Golwalkar had asked swayam sevaks to stay put in Pakistan and protect Hindus until each one gets safe passage to India. Gandhi ji told if India has to be partioned it has to be on his dead body but later retracted, was there Congress hand behind it. Even today RSS swayam sevaks feel though we have got independece many of our fellow citizens were slaughtered on the same day across borders be it Hindus/muslims and we should regret that. But brother RSS celebrates Independence day in all its HQ, but we cannot forget the partition days, please watch the movie Bhaag Milkha Bhaag uncensored and find out which organiztion stood for rescue efforts while Milkha Sigh's family was slaughtered. RSS still has its vision for Akhand Bharath with our brothers in Pakistan and Bangladesh.

I have been associated with RSS for all of my life (37years and counting) and I have not heard/read this   one. Most of us(who are not part of RSS also) are not happy about partition and giving away our land to others. The freedom struggle didnt happen to split the country into multiple parts, i hope even you would agree to it. But, what you said is a revelation to me. Please point me to the source if any.
