They are different sizes at all hostels. Usually under the bed, and made of strong chicken wire. I've also seen 24"x24" wooden cubes. If you do not bring your own lock, you can pay for one at the front desk. They are really made for soft-sided bags, like backpacks or duffel bags. You may have some difficulties as you have a fixed-sized bag. Don't be afraid to ask them to hold the bag for you behind their desk. For the most part, they are honest. Just be sure that all of your expensive items are with you.
