You pack as you would for anywhere. Seriously? You don't know what to see in Rome and Venice? Really? Did you NOT go to school? The Coliseum, the Roman Forum, there are about a hundred churches worth seeing in Rome, Pantheon, etc. The canals, Piazza San Marco, Cathedral San Marco. Just go to a tourism site or get a book from the library. Oh, and the word is "worthwhile", not "worth".
