How to get from Civitavecchia port to Rome city?

    Just did a cruise myself, (stopped in Malta, which was beautiful!) ...... and the ship itself offers many tour packages to Rome once you get to Civitavecchia. If Ya want to do it yourself........the local train station is not far and takes about an hour to get to Rome........maybe a little more........ they just started some NEW service, for CRUISE passengers ONLY.......it's suppose to be the ROME Express on some fancy train, and the train ride ITSELF is billed as part of the "fun".........plus it's an EXPRESS to Rome. Gotta book it thru your ship, for a pretty penny I think..... I've been to Rome many times and opted to enjoy the Jacuzzi the last day! And I can get to Rome anytime........ Barcelona was nice too! Have a good trip!
