Rome - What part of Rome would be best to stay in?

We just got back from Rome and loved Hotel Archimedes. You can look ot up on the Internet. Look for a hotel near the Termini - that is the place where all the buses, subways, and trains ended up, so we felt very confident about never getting lost! It also is a great central location.

What part of Rome? Well, anywhere in the historic center is just great as you can walk to most of the famous sites of Rome. The Hotel Felice, at 2 stars, does not have a/c in the rooms. Ciao! May I highly recommend you look into the Hotel Borromeo (they have a website). It's a very nice 3 star hotel walking distance from the following: Colosseum/Roman Forum, circus maximus, Spanish steps, St. peters basilica, THE BEST SHOPPING and restaurants, a major train station, many nice little bars. It's located on Via Cavour literally a 3-5 min walk from the colosseum and very central. You can walk to ANY major tourist site and if you're a little tired you can take the bus. highly HIGHLY recommend this location. I'm Italian, I speak it and lived there for 3 yrs of my life.
