Why are strapless wedding dresses so popular?

Strapless wedding dresses but with fat arms..how to cover my fat arms?

  • i got a really chubby arms and love to wear a strapless wedding dresses.is there anything i can cover it up.i'm size 14-16.please advice

  • Answer:

I don't think you probably look fat at all with a size 14-16. But if you're really worried about it...get a dress that's mostly strapless but that maybe has some lace on the arms to cover up a bit or a shaw or something. Actually, if you're self-conscious about it the best thing you can probably do is not get a strapless wedding dress because you won't be happy in it. Either that or work those arms into shape. :)

Well, if you're not comfortable with the way your upper arms look, then you're not going to be comfortable in a strapless dress. You have options though, you can generally have a dressmaker sew on small cap sleeves to a strapless dress. You can also drape a shawl over your shoulders. You can also do an off the shoulder neckline, that will show off the top of your shoulders and neck, but hide your upper arms (especially underneath!). You want to feel like a princess on your wedding day, so wear a dress that will help you feel that way, don't wear something that will be displaying a part of your body you're not comfortable with. Good luck! p.s. Marilyn Monroe was a size 14......so you're not fat!!!

Quick question, does he like your arms... I am the same size you are... I wore my strapless dress without anything covering up my arms... and it was fine. Most of the people will be focused on your dress and rings... trust me. you can always get a shawl. Get his opinion... you won't regret it.

A really pretty beaded shawl would be lovely!

If you're not comfortable with sleeveless, then don't' wear it. You want to feel like a million bucks on your wedding day, and you don't want to be worrying about how you're arms look. You should go with cap sleeves, they will probably hide any flaws in your arms.

Full length gloves silk stole to wear across your upper arms Those are the only two things I could think of. Hope that helps.

Congradulations!!!! You can always wear a beautiful shawl or wrap to match your dress. It looks very elegant and it will keep you warm when the night falls...

Get a shrug or a bolero, that's what I'm doing. Have a look on ebay you can find some really nice ones on there. I've got a organza one so it just masks my arms but you can still see my dress.

get a shrug to match your dress - it gives a really nice "galaxy" style neckline at the shoulders and just covers up your arms and back so you can still see your lovely dress.
