    You bet!!!! Yahoo and Jerry Yang are playing games. It is his baby. He grew it from nothing to the first dot com success. They wrote the model. Unfortunately, they have been hemorrhaging market share to Google for many years now, as has everyone, especially in online advertising. They want to be bought but at their price. They however have no hand. Microsoft will not a pay a cent more. This is where News Corp comes in. They can breach the gap if required. Yahoo WILL be sold to Microsoft. AOL and Yahoo getting together is a weak move. AOL has been going down since 2000. It used to be an ISP behemoth but the prevalence of broadband killed it slowly. Just an almost defunct website now. Time Warner couldn't be keener to offload it. I would, if you want to trade, go long Microsoft and buy Yahoo calls.

That depends on the Yahoo major shareholder and are they willing to let go at that price. Currently Yahoo is not doing very well and MS want to take over ASAP. If they delay, it's going to cost them more. Internet marketing is one strongest part of Yahoo. Most likely they will hit a deal.

If yahoo has a way to get all the big company share holders to dump yahoo shares all over the place, Microsoft will have a hard time aquiring Yahoo!
