How to replace wood floor in a boat?

What kind of "wood" or "marine board" would I need to fix the floor on my boat? I'm replacing the floorboard.?

    The boat came with 1/2 to 5/8 any larger and it will not form to the floor and the edges will be sticking up. and the weight is a lot more best to cut to fit and seal the bottom and top so water cant rot.If tank is under the floor check and make sure if not ready to leak.Install rib and cross braces to strengthen the floor.

3/4 might be overkill, but it depends on how big the spans are between floor supports. 1/4, too thin. 1/2 might work fine. You most definitely want marine grade ply.

i replaced my floor with marine ply and sealed it fiberglass resin and matting strong as heck and water resistant

3/4" plywood should work fine, as long as the structural support under it is not more than 16" apart. The thickness he used before is much too thin, no matter what it is made from. People who are hacks tend to do things the cheapest possible way even if it is far below what is required.
