Depends...classic, artsy, and learning about Italy would be Rome, Venice, and Florence. but, if I wanted to learn about the way of life and see the true Italy, I would go to Cinque Terra, Siena, San Gimignano. if i wanted to relax, Cinque Terra, Sorrento, and the Amalfi Coast.

aC.

Rome, Venice and Florence.

I recently traveled to Italy and thoroughly enjoyed Rome and Venice. I have heard that Cinque Terra and Sienna are both amazing places as well. Another place I highly recommend, if you are into Roman history, is Pompeii. I cannot wait to return to Italy!! Rome has so much history in itself that it is impossible to see it all, even in two weeks time. But it is an absolute MUST see. Venice is best in the early spring...I recommend going in the month of May. The temperatures are perfect!!
