How many days should i stay in venice? 2,3, or 4?

3 or 4, i went and there are SO many things to see. make sure you go to see how they make the glass things i was impressed! its beautiful!

As much as you can, but be aware that an espresso will cost you around 5 Euros, where in every normal bar in Italy it would cost you 0.80 cents! So, stay enough to not get ruined (or get a loan).

It really depends on how much you can afford and how's your acceptability to stay in one place. Ask yourself: Are you going to any other places in Italy? or What's my time frame of stay in Italy? (because Florence, Rome, and Pisa are great destination as well, but they take time to see and to get to.) How about cost? or How much can I spend? (because Venice is the most expensive city-less Milan's fashion-in Rome) How much walking do you want to do? (because cars aren't allowed in the city, so you'll be walking a lot) I was in Venice for 2 days. I would have stayed for 3 days max. It's a great city, romantic, and very interested to stroll through, but expensive. If you have the time and money, 4 days. If you're on an itinerary like me, 2-3 days so you can see Florence and Rome during Spring Break Vacation.

3, then go someplace else. Firenze, or down south where it is more fun. And yes the water does smell.. BAD

3 days are more than enough. I got bored in 2 days as the water really stinks, and there are only a couple of museums to visit.
