    The Gleis(plafform) is divided into ABCDE sections. long distance trains occupy the entire platform as they are long whereas short distance trains are smaller hence occupy part of the platform. hence 4C-E is where ur train will stop. its easy to spot and wait at the right area and you don't run with your luggage at the last moment. its also helps crowd management esp in weekends. 7 mins is PLENTY of time to change and get ur right train, (just observe and enjoy how seamless your travel is gonna be in germany). this is the case in all train stations in Germany
