    In the region Halle you will have a hard time finding any job the city has one of the highest unemployment rates of entire Germany. If you plan to live and work there check the websites of local newspapers and of the Arbeitsagentur also check with local companies if they hire any people and most of all be prepared to hear no lots of time without loosing your motivation. BTW to be a teacher in Germany you need to be either a German citizen or a long term legal resident ( 8 years +) since teachers at public schools are civil servants public schools make up more than 90 % of all schools in Germany. Also you need a degree from a German university not only in the subject you plan to teach but additionally in pedagogy thus to become a teacher is more or less impossible for a foreigner.

In theory, it would depend on what companies are in the area, whether they have any openings, and whether you are clearly more suited for the role than a German candidate. With unemployment so high in Sachsen, that may not be as easy as it would be in the west, for instance. The real question is why the hell anyone would ever want to live in Halle...
