    yes they do have houses outside of the post but only for thus with donkeys. the reason that for is that the donkeys smell a little bit if they poop. and i can say mine is pooping alot.

Also near Baumholder is the nice little town with the gem stones Idar Oberstein 25km interesting to see this place, there is a little tiny housing from the US Army and also the city Kaiserslautern less than 60km there is a ZOO and Dinosaur park, Ramstein Airport, Landstuhl (Hospital). Be lucky you are going to Baumholder, Hohenfels was I guess very boring. I'm quiet sure there is houses of post, housing office know about it.
