Do you think graffiti is a crime or art?

If done on a public place, or on other's property , it is a crime.

Both, because some are really good and take a lot of talent but if you draw on somewhere you're not supposed to. It's technically classed as vandalism and therefore a crime.

It's a crime. You can't just take other people's property and paint on it without their permission. Graffiti artists should either get permission or use canvas.

If someone pays him to do it,it is art. If he does it on someones property without permission then it is a crime.

It depends on what he is expressing. If it is negative and doesn't exert a positive influence, then it is graffiti. A mural such as the Detroit Wall isn't graffiti.

Well, there's no debate. Graffiti is literally a crime. Whether it should be a crime is another matter. My take on it is that it all depends on where you put it. I personally love graffiti art but when home and store owners and tax payers have to pay to have it removed, that's not right. Art should not cost the general public time and money. And I don't care how much graffiti artists claim it's harmless. The fact is there isn't anyone who wouldn't be pissed to find that a stranger had spray painted their property.

i think its an art, where im from in cali they painted pictures of empowerment like martin luther king and other pieces of art filled with positivity and creativity.

I think that it matters what actually you are writing and drawing. If you are writing with spray paint "gang names" and other inappropriate stuff then I consider it a crime. But if it is beautiful art and it actually has a purpose then I consider it art .
