  • Answer:

Hey, I just checked the website of the German railroad for Frankfurt-Füssen and it said it would cost 100 Euros. The prices are not steady, so it would make sense to book the tickets about 2 months before your trip to get a good deal. Mind you that simply by taking a train an hour earlier or later the prices might be different, so play around on that website a bit. Going by train in Germany is expensive, that's true. You'd pay even more if you'd go by car, though, considering you'd have to drive 425 km (one way), 1 gallon of gas is about 8 Dollar and then you'd have to add rental costs. Don't know about busses, that doesn't seem too practical though (we don't have something like the US Greyhound system), so train's pretty much your best option. Check out the second link I posted, too, that looks really helpful! Btw, to get to the castle I'd strongly recommend you'd get yourself on one of the horse-drawn-carriages because the walk takes half an hour and is pretty steep. ;)
