What is the best program to study abroad from US to Japan?

  San Francisco State University, my alma mater. When I was a student there, we had 2 programs to study in Japan. There was the program to study Aoyama Gakuin and a special scholarship to study at Wasda daikagu. The Aoyama program was a one year program that basically equaled the 3rd year of the Japanese language program. It focused on the advanced learning of Japanese. Great program for most people studying language. The Waseda program was a special program only for 2 people. The program focused on business, but required one to already have good Japanese reading, writing and speaking skills. The girl that did it when I was in school basically took the same classes as us Japanese majors, and also all of her business classes. Study abroad programs often cost more than the usual school fees. In addition students are required to have money in the bank in case of urgent needs or an emergency.
