Ideas of things to draw?

  • I want to draw some pictures to help me improve my drawing skills. Any ideas of fun stuff to draw? Maybe even a bit sureal or abstract? Just looking for sugestions :)

    Draw a masked ninja in black with different shaded pencils.... The ninja has wings like that of a reptile and he he just risen above the clouds... it is night time and the moon is visible behind him... His arms are out, in his right/left hand he is brandishing his sword and the moonlight is shimmering off of it, perhaps causing lens glare, and he appears to be relaxed and focussed. Lets be honest: 1) Ninjas are awesome 2) Flying cloud riding Ninjas are even aweomer 3) Pencils are awesome 4) Night-time ninja cloud riding pencil combo = maximum awesome.

i studied cubism for a year, i really enjoyed drawing and painting all the random shapes, try finding a cubist picture and copy it or draw your own version, i painted mine, but still the shapes are really cool. hope this helps

just look around and use your imagination. look at a building for instance and try and draw it then look how you could make it more abstract by putting a few extra lines here and there and add shadow as well

How about drawing a picture of a sculpture,that would be surreal.

Try drawing water in all its shapes and sizes. If you can do that you are really getting somewhere.
