It isn't a continent state but it is still the biggest country in Europe with wildly different areas, weather, and attractions and a few thousands cities. And since you're not saying what you consider fun there's no way you can get a correct answer.

You do not mention your nationality but your post is marked as being from the USA. If you are not a European citizen you cannot move to ANY state in the Schengen zone, part of which France is. if you have not got a European passport, the maximum time you are allowed is 90 days as a paying tourist and you are not allowed to take any king of paid employment during your stay. Europe has now put in place similar requirements for non Europeans as the green card which is compulsory for Europeans wanting to work in the USA and does not give work and residence permits apart from in exceptional circumstances for jobs that cannot be filled by European citizens.
