Top 10 Places to visit in France?

This is a tough question. There are wonderful places to visit all over France. Marseilles can be a little rough (especially at night) but still worth seeing. Nice is nice. Cannes is (in my opinion) a little over rated. The nice part of Cannes the part you see during the film festival. The rest of the city is no great shakes. Eze sur Mer is a small village high on the hills a few miles east of Nice. A very ancient village. Barritz on the Atlantic coast is fantastic. Monaco is fun and always worth at least one day. Don't plan on staying there unless you have a fortune to spend for a hotel. Trains arrive Monaco many times each day from Nice. Normandy which is northwest of Paris is beautiful. You can get trains from Gare de Nord in Paris to various places in Normandy. Vernon is a beautiful town in Normandy and not far from Giverny which was one of Claude Monet's homes and is worth a visit too. I so go to France and don't lay out your plans in stone. Play it by ear. You'll have a great time.
