The dialects in Normandy (and there are several) have some words from the Old Norse of the viking invaders who then colonised the area. And most of the rest pertains to the Langues d'Oïl of the northern part of France....Norman dialects are also spoken on the Anglo Norman Isles (Jersey for ex.)
