I'm British and Live in France. Annalike has given you a great answer but the biggest difference I have noticed is about "Nationalism" The French actively seek out French products and don't really understand why you would want to buy an imported item. This is particularly strong in the food in supermarkets where fresh local seasonal produce is the norm. In the UK, there is no longer any season for fresh produce and the supermarkets bring it all in from all around the world so that you get seasonal produce at completely the wrong time of year. It also shows in cars. In France, the vast majority of cars are French manufactured. The situation in the Uk now is that the major manufacturers have almost disappeared.
