you can fly to carcasonne ..its a wonderful city ..canal du midi runs straight through it ...its castle was used in film ..robin hood ..prince of theives ..markets ..lakes ..it has the lot ...end of july -beginning of august ...fields of sunflowers ...worth a visit just for them

You can go anywhere you like. If you fancy going to Provence, I say do it. And they will LOVE you for speaking French.

If you like old villages cities, go to Provins or Barbizon (70-75 kms to Paris) or go to castle near the river Loire like Chambord or Blois. It's so beautiful !
