    Well,. you can definitelyy go to the beach, that would not be as overcrowded as usual...or, you can visit the nearbies, maybe a little run to Saint-Tropez if you have enough time (1 hour and a half from Nice to Saint Tropez)...I mean, the markets and stores are not the important thing in Nice! Good luck!

Try a trip to Eze, a medieval village about 45 minutes from Nice along the coast towards Monaco. The view is fantastic and at the very top is a cactus garden. Wonderful place! The best bet is to take a bus because it will drop you off next to the town.
