First of all unless you are a citizen of a EU country, it is just about impossible to get a job in France. All jobs are restricted to citizens of France or other EU countries. Then the job situation in France is close to desperate. One of the very few exceptions to the present laws are for foreign students in France to work part time in their field.. There are also some provisions for au pairs. I understand that France has signed agreements with several countries including Canada to figure out how to operate this program. Before you do any searching or contacting agents etc. you must find out exactly how the law works and if there are any possibilities for a person from the USA. You can call the French embassy in Washington and they will give you all details.
