How do you text from the US to France?

How much does it cost to send a text to someone in France?

I doubt that there is any phone company that will let you talk/text someone in a foreign country for the same price as if they were in the same country as you. Unless your phone plan specifically allows it, you will get charged the International rate. I am with o2 Ireland and have free calls and texts, but if I send a text to a friend in Australia, I get charged the International rate, (21cent). I use the o2 website, from where I can send a 'webtext' to Australia - these are free.
