As always Rillifane is quite correct. The main US brands are available but the prices are very high. 7 USD is about right, so 70 bucks a carton....

Take them with you. Cigarettes in France are very expensive because of very high taxes. At current exchange rates the price is about $7 a pack. Some American brands are readily available in France, Marlboros, for example, are found just about everywhere.

I can't tell you the exact price but I know they are heavily taxed in France. Of course, common American brands are sold everywhere in France. I would recommend buying a carton at a US airport before leaving. Prices won't be more "reasonable" in France.
