What are good nightlife spots in Paris?

Can a child with chickenpox travel to paris france one week after spots appear?

  • grandson aged 5 developed chickenpox spots on monday 5 june will he be able to travel to disney paris on 12 june

  • Answer:

I'd say he won't. The average time for the blisters to crust over is a week, so it's quite a gamble to still plan on going - if he is still contagious, you would be deliberately exposing thousands and thousands of people to chickenpox, including adults, to which the disease can be fatal. Either way, it is now high season at Euro Disney, I would not expose a recovering 5-year old to a day of walking in crowds, myself.

I'm told that the child is infectious as long as the scabs are still attached.

Hi, it is best to have a doctor to confirm it is chicken pox first. This is because it might be other ailments like alergy or rashes. If it is, your doctor will be best to let you know how soon he can be out of confinement. As the diesease is just starting, it may take a week or 2 for him to recover. Recovery varies from person to person. And after recovery and disappearance of scabs, he is still contagious for another week. So, if chicken pox, best to have him isolated at least 3 weeks, which will meant postponement of the trip by at least 3 weeks.
