How do I get from Paris City Centre to Charles de Gaulle Airport?

  • Answer:

You can take the Metro to Gare du Nord, then the RER B train to the airport. This is the cheapest option and it's very easy. It's all very clearly marked by signs and you shouldn't have any problems. It takes about an hour or so. If you have a lot of luggage though, the trains can be crowded and it might be difficult to manage it. A good reason to travel lightly.

If you're staying in Paris city centre, ask your accommodation to organise a pick-up for you. The rate you'll have to pay depends on how far your hotel is from the airport, but it won't be as pricey as a taxi, and you will probably share the pick-up (usually a minibus or people carrier) with other travellers possibly going to the same hotel as you. This way you don't have to worry about missing a stop or getting lost on the streets, and you can back and enjoy the city. And of course you can use the same service to travel back to the airport again when you need to.
