What are some fashion stores in Paris?

What kinds of stores are shut down in Paris in August and when do they open again? (ie. high fashion stores?)

  • i'm traveling to paris toward the end of august(19th-25th) and i'm pretty worried that "must-see" shops and especially resale shops, are gonna be closed.

    Worry not! It's only some small family-owned stores that may close 1 to 3 weeks in August as the whole family goes on vacation: the local butcher, baker, optician, etc. None of the major stores close, they are open year round. When a small store closes a few weeks a year, they choose their own dates anyway, there are no official closing days in August. If you have a specific small boutique in mind check their website to see if they will be closing (unlikely at the end of August).
