How much will it cost for me and three of my friends to go to Paris, France?

    Hi Brittani, Planning a trip to Paris - very neat! The cost will depend on how many days you plan on spending on the trip. Your single biggest expense will be your round trip plane ticket. Check out www.skyscanner.com or www.kayak.com to get an idea. These are meta search sites that will help you save time in doing research on airfare. The other factor is how budget conscious you are. You can stay at 5 star hotels and eat at the finest restaurants or you can stay at youth hostels and buy some of your food in markets and eat at less expensive cafes. If you stay at smaller, European motels (2 star) and budget your money for sightseeing, souvenirs and food you can do it for about $2000 to $2500 per person for 10 days. Well, it's about $770 per round trip (see first source below). Multiply that by four and you get $3080. That's the bare minimum though, because you'll need food and a place to sleep. Add maybe $80 per night (assuming you bring sleeping bags in order to fit into one room) for seven nights and that brings you up to a total of $3640. Add expensive dining (the only type in Paris). I researched food in Paris that has quality food on a short budget (see second source below), and it was about 38 dollars per person per meal. Assuming you eat out once per day, that brings you up to a total of $4704. If any of my calculations were based on incorrect assumptions, please update your question. Happy travelling!
