How much spending money for a week in paris?

  • How much spending money do I need for a week in paris? our hotel bill is in total approximately £470 with breakfast included, but what about shopping, lunch and dinner?

  • Answer:

How much do you have to spend? Paris can be very expensive. There are restaurants in Paris, Le Tour D'Argent for example, where you can drop 300 to 400 euros for one meal for one person. When we go there, we try to do it reasonably. We spend about 150 euros per day per person. That is for everything and is averaged out over a week.

It depends on what you want to eat. Paris is expensive! But you can do things on the cheap. Drink water but not bottled. I don't remember the French term, but you can ask for water which is basically tap water that you would get in any restaurant here in the US. That's free. I've found that beverages in France are expensive as all hell!!! Food is also cheaper away from tourist areas. Oh and you don't tip in Europe like you do here. You tip A LOT less!!! You can also stop in some of the stores and buy things like bread, cheese and such and make lunch on your own. The metro has combo tickets you can buy and you'll save money that way as well. I've been to France 3 times and I'm actually going there this week. I'm trying to remember more....I'm spoiled...I have family there so I save a lot right there. Let me know if you have any questions.
