Can you recommend any vegetarian restaurants in Paris?

Can anyone recommend good cheap vegetarian restaurants in Opera in Paris?

  • Answer:

I just got back from Paris and was travelling with two vegans. We did not find anything inexpensive in Opera-- EVERYTHING is expensive. We went to Les Halles and got sandwiches (they got goat cheese/tomato on whole wheat baguette) and I got a ham/cheese and we carried in our travel bag and ate on the street... street vendors selling crepes might be cheaper but I don't recall seeing one in Opera area. The restaurants are pricey there and it is crowded. If you go into Galleries LaFayette, there is a cafeteria restaurant in the area with the beautiful dome stained glass and it was pretty reasonable (if it is still there)... kinda like a restaurant inside of a Bloomingdales or a Macy's...

What I can do to help is send you this directory of vegetarian restaurants, though I don't know which ones are "cheap". Maybe there are reviews here that can help you find this out. Here you go: http://www.vegdining.com/GetRestList.cfm?rgk=EU-FRA Good luck and enjoy your trip!
